Simon Peck, Aaron Hacon and Colin Westney won two games each (although the Kings Head were a player short) before the latter two combined to win the doubles 21-12, 21-14. However they all found Alan Clitheroe in fine form as he once again destroyed all three Hopefuls' players comfortably.

Furthermore Clitheoe did the same to Hales Ants but on this occasion had support from Steve Webster who beat Phil Moore 21-14, 21-19 before Harry Mason teamed up with Clitheroe to win the doubles 21-9, 12-21, 22-20 over Adrian Key/Steve Griffee.

In Division One Hales Eagles had two 7-3 victories over Nutters and Gull. Derek Clark was the man in form scoring a maximum in each match. Magpies also had two good wins - 7-3 over Nutters and 8-2 over Gull. This time it was Barry Fortune scoring the maximums. Again Iacovazzo scored a brace for the Gull but lost 17-21, 20-22 to Fortune. Doug Cheer and Alf Stubbs assisted Fortune in the Gull match with a brace apiece.
