After the recent exertions of the Bungay Festival of Running and the London Marathon, the weekend was quiet for Bungay Black Dog Running Club athletes, but those who did compete put in some personal best efforts.
The Thurston family were at the aptly-named Thurston 10k and 3k which boasts it is “Suffolk’s premier combined running event” on Sunday.
Mum Loretta produced a personal best of 51 minutes and 49 seconds in finishing 70th of 137 runners in the 10k event while son Kia won the 3k in 12:30 and his brother Corey was 26th in 16:20.
Jane Hannah finished 261st of 1882, clocking 44:25 at King’s Lynn’s Great East Anglia Run over 10k. Danny Bell-Tye was another who despite shocking weather produced a best of 52:05 in finishing 720th while Philip Neave was 1311th in 1:00:18.
