Simon Cullum in Javelin Javanna had a flying start and kept his position round the course, holding first on corrected time. Chris Skedge in Phantom Skedge was second and Phil Gooch third in supernova.
In the second race, Simon again came home first in his Javelin crewed by son David, and Chris Skedge was second. Third place went to Natterjack sailed by Mike Spencer and Sur Burrell.
With hindsight, sailors who left the club early to watch England trying to play football, probably wished they had stayed on the river for the afternoon!
On July 3 and 4 Buckenham Sailing Club hold their annual regatta with races on Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday. All visitors, with or without boats, will be warmly welcomed.

Race 2 (7): 1 Javanna (Simon and David Cullum), 2 Phantom Skedge (Chris Skedge), 3 Natterjack (Mike Spencer and Sue Burrell).
