The junior organisers were fortunate to secure sponsorship for the event to mark the occasion.

The quality of golf was a pleasure to watch, both for the parents and the organisers and with the fine sunny conditions there were good scores.

The competition was also a Daily Telegraph qualifying event and for the Suffolk players, their results would count in the Order of Merit.

Tom Pettifer, of Rookery Park, was the recipient of the Geoffrey Watts Trophy for a gross score of 71.

Emma Davies, from Eaton, was the winner of the girls section with a gross score of 78. The trophy for the best Bungay boy went to Jacob Carver.
