Kingfishers continued to show that the club's progression is very much on track at the M&H Trophy gala where Beccles fielded two teams. The club produced two teams of mainly A-team swimmers along with swimmers looking to break into the A-squad.

Beccles White and Beccles Green, produced some good results against the trophy holders Aylsham and the formidable Great Yarmouth teams. In total 38 new personal times were recorded.

Result: 1 Yarmouth 132, 2 Beccles Green 106, 3 Beccles White 88, 4 Aylsham 72.

Douglas Olley for the Greens took first in the 200m freestyle and second in the open butterfly, both pbs. Jonny Harrison had a first in the backstroke and second in the breaststroke. For the open girls, Ellie Clarke gained a first in breaststroke and Amber Bircham second in breaststroke.

In the 15/u for the Greens, William Pye came second in backstroke and Tom Guttridge knocked nine seconds off his freestyle time.

Louise Shepherdson was second in backstroke with Philippa getting two pbs in the butterfly and breaststroke.

The 13/u boys saw Jacob Barber secure two pbs in butterfly and breaststroke with new A-teamer Matthew Stokes knocking 12 seconds off his backstroke. Lucy Pye got a breaststroke pb and Jenny Seaman was first in butterfly.

Jenny Beevor got maximum points in the breaststroke at 11/u with Elena Catchpole third with a pb in freestyle. Dalton Yallop was first in backstroke and second in butterfly, Matthew Seaman third in breaststroke.

The White team secured third place ahead of Aylsham with some great swims. In the open, Zanna Yallop picked up two pbs in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Rachel Doran had two pbs and two second places in butterfly and breaststroke. Richard Clarke had two pbs in breaststroke and freestyle and Robert Beaumont did the same in the backstroke and butterfly. Steven Kirby claimed second in the 15/u butterfly with Macauley Woodard gaining a new time in the breaststroke.

Ellen Nelson swam well to get second in the girls 15/u freestyle with Laura Catchpole doing the same in the breaststroke with a pb in the butterfly. Robert Thurtell in the boys 13/u had pbs in butterfly and breaststroke, Charles Lees doing the same in the freestyle.

Both Eleanor Chick and Sophie Bircham impressed with pbs, Sophie in the butterfly and Eleanor in the breaststroke.

Josh Birch in the 11/u for the Whites got three pbs with sister Bonnie Birch getting two pbs in the freestyle and backstroke. Nina Bircham took off more time in the butterfly and breaststroke.
