The Beccles Middle School Year 6 Kwik Cricket team travelled to Denes Oval, Lowestoft to play in the partnership competition.

In the first game Beccles beat Harris by 95 runs. Tight bowling from the whole team saw Harris post a total of 225-5. Beccles then amassed a super total of 320-3.

The second game proved to be the hardest of the tournament against Lothingland. Beccles edged home by one run, with some quick singles from final pair of George M and Luke. Beccles then beat Foxborough B by 146 runs thanks to a super bowling performance where Beccles took 14 wickets including two hat-tricks for James and Alex.

The batsman also did their stuff, with Bradley and George B scoring many boundaries.

The final saw Beccles pitted against Elm Tree who were also unbeaten. Elm Tree batted first scoring 234-5, Beccles bowled and fielded extremely well including some unplayable leg breaks from Raghav and great line and length from George R. Then some sensible batting from the Beccles boys saw them to 279-0, winning the game by 45 runs.

Beccles now go on to the County Final on June 29 at Woolpit Cricket Club where they hope to go one better than last year where they were runners-up.

A mention must go to George M who is not in the picture as he was away on county duty with Norfolk.
