Beccles Town FC U18 made it two wins on the bounce by defeating Great Yarmouth Town FC at College Meadow.
The visitors started brightly with only solid defending by Jolyon and Leo and fine saves from Billy keeping the score at parity in the first half. Beccles finished the half strongly with Tom B cutting in from the wing and hitting a low shot just wide of the far post.
The second half saw Beccles make four substitutions as both sides stepped up the intensity. It was no surprise when they took the lead on 63 minutes with a powerful shot from the edge of the box.
This spurred Beccles into an exciting fightback and their efforts were rewarded on 71 minutes when Jamie made a storming run down the right and delivered a perfect far post cross for Will to head down.
And then, with a minute of normal time left, Jack G ran onto Cal A’s through ball, giving Jack a tap-in to win the game.
