LODDON United Football Club held their presentation evening on Saturday night at the Jubilee Hall where they picked up the Dolphin Autos Anglian Combination Division One trophy and individual medals from management committee representative Brian Gower.

First XI players' player of the year and manager's player awards both went to team captain Richard Summons, reward for a very consistent season.

Reserve XI players, player was Daniel Andersen while club chairman Adrian Battisson picked up the manager's player of the year. The Matthew Green award for leading goalscorer in the Reserves was shared by Alex Brown and Daniel Andersen. Chris Baker picked up both the players' player and manager's player for the A team.

Loddon United Veterans also received their Division Four North runners-up medals.

Players' player was David Lees and manager's player Paul Cotton. The supporters' player was Robin Andersen, who received the Brian Sadler Shield from Adrian Sadler in a very poignant moment.

Chris Hancock received the young player of the year award from club president John Clark who also presented the Bryan Thurlow Award, complete with new shield donated by the Thurlow family, to Robbie Collins for his dedication and enthusiasm in training.

The awards were completed by the award of the Kevin Sayer Memorial Award for clubman of the year

which was shared between club secretary Carl Pitcher and Mark Stone, who has given a great deal of time and effort to the club during the last two seasons, particularly in improving the club's training.

There were bouquets for the club's laundry ladies and for Lex Clark for doing such a great job with the First XI programme and Anne Clark for organising the half-time refreshments and Karen Knights for the after-match refreshments.

The presentations were held on the same night as the club's race night.

Loddon United FC are inviting applications for the post of Reserve team manager.

The Reserves will be looking to challenge for honours in Division Four of the Anglian Combination and provide vital support to the first team.
