They totally dominated the second half but just lacked that cutting edge in a top-six Anglian Combination Premier Division clash, losing 2-0.

There was a good performance by Gunton and a much-improved Gary Summons but top dog by some way was the Musker McIntyre Man of the Match Danny Andersen.

Loddon slept as Brandon pushed forward and within two minutes found themselves 1-0 down when Brandon capitalised on some sloppy defending.

In response, Brown fired a free-kick across the goalmouth but no-one could convert it. He then shot wide and Ricky Summons had two efforts - the second well saved after he had beaten two defenders in the box.

Dan Andersen ran into the box but appeals for obstruction were ignored. Way made a well-timed block, but Blofield's lone striker managed a good turn and volley on the edge of the box and fired over.

Way received treatment for a hand injury and on 30 minutes had to be replaced by Wright with Durrant moving to the back. Brown held the ball well and tried to feed Oliver but he was offside just inside the Brandon half.

Brandon volleyed wide, but a good move by Loddon won a corner. Dan Andersen and Ricky Summons both managed shots.

Dan tmade another great run down the right only to see his cross again elude everyone. Again he got the ball in and this time Wright was foiled.

Next it was Robin Andersen's turn for a penetrating run which was stopped illegally just outside the box, but Brown put the kick over. Brandon tried to go long but Durrant was finding his touch in the new position and controlled stylishly. Robin crossed for brother Dan but the keeper was equal to his header.

Durrant again looked cool at the back before Wright flicked on for Brown, and his drive was just over. Crosses from Dan Andersen and Brown both went begging. Wright and Brown both had the keeper at full stretch, set up by Gunton.

Constant pressure by Loddon made an equaliser look inevitable. Gary Summons put Wright clear only to see a flag raised against Brown on the far side when not interfering. That luck continued as Wright's effort was charged down and Gary Summons follow-up was deflected inches wide.

Dan Andersen hit another lovely cross to Oliver at the far post who headed goal wards. The clearance hit Brown and came off a post and straight into the keeper's hands. Gunton and Andersen were causing major problems.

A neat move from Durrant, Shipley and Brown set Dan away but the keeper got there first. A great win in the middle by Ricky Summons set up a shot which did not test the keeper.

With ten minutes to go Brown, who had linked play well, made way for Greenhalf. Gary Summons drove in another Loddon corner, the keeper punched, the ball was knocked back in to Wright who lost possession and suddenly Loddon were outnumbered.

Brandon broke away and scored the killer second goal, totally against the run of play.
