ALL roads lead to Bungay on Sunday as the annual Bungay Black Dog Marathon takes place at the Maltings Meadow.

Another large field for both the full and half-marathon distances is already assured as the popularity of the event, this time a week ahead of the London Marathon, continues.

Runners from all over the country and abroad - including Kenya - will be there. The full marathon starts at 10.30am and the half-marathon at 12.30pm. Late entries for both will be taken on the day, when entries for the two-mile fun run will also be taken. That starts at 10.40am.

The marathon route again takes in the picturesque Waveney Valley as it heads for Beccles via Mettingham, Shipmeadow and Barsham, and then back on the Norfolk side via Gillingham, Geldeston, Ellingham and Broome. There are plenty of good viewing points for spectators along the route, with the leading runners in the full marathon expected back at the finish at the Maltings Meadow soon after 1pm.
