The golf course normally drains quite well, but recent heavy and prolonged rain caused problems on several greens, and even some fairways were soggy.
These conditions suited the big hitters and three of them gained the top three places.
Alan Ereira produced his old form to win the medal with an excellent 76-13-63, beating the runner-up Craig Gill by four shots (76-9-76).
David Wells was third with his 81-13-68.
Club captain Willie White welcomed ladies' captain Sam Cooper after her recent spell in hospital and thanked Julia for the refreshments.
