Played in memory of Mike Garood, a great supporter of Beccles Golf Club, Saturday’s four ball betterball competition was won in strong winds by Paul Cook and Rod Green with an impressive 42 points.

Playing consistently impressive golf the pair finished ahead of runners-up president Pat Gill and Benjamin Turner on 40 points and Steve Driver and Paul Tillett in third on 39 points.

The Garood family provided generous prizes and a fine buffet. The club were also grateful to sponsors Harleston Engineering for their continued support of competitions.

Beccles Golf Club are actively looking to attract junior, women, second club and beginner members with attractive memberships from as little as £50 per year. Full membership is currently only £270.
