Neil's stroke of genius

Halesworth's Neil Howell recently competed in the Eastbourne Masters Open meet in East Sussex at the Sovereign Centre sports complex.

The veteran swimmer won both the 100m and 50m breaststroke events.

Halesworth's Neil Howell recently competed in the Eastbourne Masters Open meet in East Sussex at the Sovereign Centre sports complex.

The veteran swimmer won both the 100m and 50m breaststroke events.

He has now won 14 consecutive breaststroke races over 200m, 100m and 50m.

His last defeat was at Guildford last September.

Howell also gained silver medals in the 50m freestyle and 50m backstroke, swimming in the age group competition.

He is a member of the East Anglian Swallow Tails Club. Thirty-five clubs were represented in the competition.
