HALESWORTH swimmer Neil Howell returned to competition after a break of three months when he competed in the Bracknell and Wokingham meet last week.

The venue was the magnificent Bracknell Leisure Centre in Berkshire.

Howell participated in four events. He achieved a hat-trick of victories by winning the 200m, 100m and 50m breaststroke events.

The Norwich-based East Anglian Swallow Tails swimmer has now won 29 consecutive breaststroke races in these three events. He was last beaten in October 2008.

At Bracknell he also gained a runners-up place in the 50m backstroke to Richard Harding (London Spencer SC).
