Pierce is runaway winner
A fine warm afternoon was welcomed by the junior golfers as they competed for the Paddy Glasheen Trophy on Sunday at Bungay and Waveney Valley Golf Club.
A fine warm afternoon was welcomed by the junior golfers as they competed for the Paddy Glasheen Trophy on Sunday at Bungay and Waveney Valley Golf Club.
The 18-hole competition was closely fought, but the runaway winner was new member Pierce Earthy (pictured) with 48 points.
In second place was Olley Earl with 39 points and for the second time this year Fay Smith was third on count back with 37 points.
The Division Two 10-hole competition was also exciting, with Daniel Sampsom emerging as winner, Lewis Wright and Jake Prettyman were close behind. Laura Wood, another new member, made a good start in her first competition.

The Cubs' section was equally close with Jake Beaugeard just holding on to a one-point lead over Tom Sergeant.
