Popular scramble at Beccles
THE ever-popular Texas scramble format, sponsored once again by Harleston Engineering, was held at Beccles Golf Club on Saturday. Club members welcomed the guest teams entered by the sponsors and Clays of Bungay and a large field set out in search of the trophy and numerous prizes on offer.

Club members welcomed the guest teams entered by the sponsors and Clays of Bungay and a large field set out in search of the trophy and numerous prizes on offer.
Nobody could match the performance of the sponsor's team led by Syer Shulver, ably assisted by Harleston Engineers Jim Snowling, Mike Harrison and Alan Ereira, who won the event by four clear shots.
Low scores are a feature of this format and the remainder of the entire field was only separated by four shots.

Runners-up were club members George Savill, Christian Lever, Bryan Debenham and Willie White.
The longest drive on the fourth hole went to Syer Shulver and nearest-the-pin prizes on the first, second and eighth were won by guest Mike Syer Harrison, Niall Gill and Willie White.
