It was a horrible day for cricket, Loddon losing the toss again and being sent into the field as the Caister openers got off to good starts.

Chris Baker bowled 11 overs for only 31 runs. Kelvin Pitman bustled into the stiff wind, but R Stokes (66) and I Green (55) cruised past the 100 mark as the wheels came off in the field for Loddon, the only exception being a superb and athletic display by Charlie Clements.

Stuart Nunn managed to subdue the batsman for a while, taking 4-54, but Caister ended up on 252-4.

Loddon lost their first three wickets for 16 runs. However in the tenth over the heavens finally opened and the game was abandoned, with Loddon on 37-3.
