Beccles Rugby Club has been developing its programme for girls' rugby over the last two years, now it has one of the largest under-18 squads in the eastern region affiliated to the RFUW.

As previously reported, this is the last season that the girls will be playing youth rugby and they are keen to make the transition into ladies' rugby next year.

To make this happen the girls need local support and they need more players of any level.

This season is about player preparation and development and would be an ideal opportunity for new players to join.

If rugby is something you always wanted to try, then come down and give it a go, any and all skill levels are welcome from complete novices to experienced players.

Training is on Thursday evenings from 7-8:30pm at Beef Meadow.

The club is also looking for ladies who are interested in coaching, ideally someone with a sporting background or an ex-player but most importantly someone who is keen to learn more about the sport.

The girls are also looking for sponsorship.

Beccles Rugby Club is a thriving part of the local sporting scene, with plenty of scope for adult players and a large youth section developing the sporting talents of local boys and girls.
