With the Great East Run now little over a week away, entries are continuing to come in, with an 81-year-old among them.

He is Maurice Copeland from North Norfolk Beach Runners, who is planning to run the 20k Bungay race - there is also a 10k option this year.

Last year he ran the Norwich Half-Marathon in a creditable time, but he said the Bungay run would be his last at the half-marathon distance.

There are already 500 entries for the two distances, and that is likely to continue to increase, with entries taken on the day if the limit is not reached. It starts and finishes at Bungay Sports Hall.
