SIX Bungay Black Dog Runners braved the cold and windy weather at Wymondham on Sunday, March 7 to participate in the annual 20 mile race. This event attracted a very competitive field of 287 runners because it fit in well with training schedules for London and other marathons.

This event attracted a very competitive field of 287 runners because it fit in well with training schedules for London and other marathons. The race took them on a two lap route through the villages of Deopham and Morley before returning to Wymondham.
Ian Taylor was the first Black Dog home in 46th (2-20:00) followed by Chris Chorley, 95th (2-33) and Richard Dye, 101st (2-34). Bobbie Sauerzapf in 173rd (2-50), led two other ladies home - Christine Muttitt, 251th (3-24) and Karen Gedge suffering from a bad cold, 275th (3-37).
Further south in Cambridgeshire in bright sunshine, Bob Jack completed the cross-country Cambridge Boundary Run of 13.1 miles in 2-47.
