Twenty nine Bungay Black Dog Running Club members enjoyed a half marathon at Wissey on Sunday.

The undulating course and breezy conditions made it a challenge, so many congratulations go to Will Law (second claim Black Dog) who came second overall in one hour and 18 minutes, and to Sabrina Norton who won her age category in 1:47.

Bobbie Sauerzapf also had an amazing run as she was on a 52-mile walk the day before but still completed the half in 1:56.

Jo Cox – taking part in her first ever triathlon – put in a great performance to finish first in her 40-49 age category in a time of 1:05:56 and was placed fifth woman overall.

The leading Black Dog finisher was Julian Davis, who just missed out getting under the hour mark with a time of 1:00:51.

Jackie Bell came out on top in the 50-59 age group in 1:07:58, finishing seventh woman overall, closely followed by Nikki Holland-Gladwish in 1:09:41 and placing 10th overall woman. Simon Smith completed in 1:06:58.

At Gorleston on Saturday, Alice Kirk was supported by a great turnout of 42 Black Dogs among a field of 382 parkrunners for her 200th parkrun event along the cliffs route amongst a field of 382 other competitors.
