Sands success for Grasshoppers

Loddon Grasshoppers U13 were winners at the Soccer on the Sands tournament at Great Yarmouth.After winning their first round match, they played a nail biting quarter-final which they won after extra time and penalties.

Loddon Grasshoppers U13 were winners at the Soccer on the Sands tournament at Great Yarmouth.

After winning their first round match, they played a nail biting quarter-final which they won after extra time and penalties.

The semi-final also went to extra time and penalties. Adam was absolutely brilliant in goal, saving three penalties, and Loddon deservedly reached the final.

All the team were on fire and a great front team of Ryan and Craig, complemented by the midfield players James and Jack and a formidable defence of Robert, Lewis and Freddie played like true warriors and won the game 2-1.

Caretaker manager Jane Kent said all the Loddon players gave 100pc and were a pleasure to be with.

These great boys are looking for a manager next season when they will be U14s.
