Loddon entertained Holt eager to show supporters how flat the previous week’s performance had been.

They came out of the blocks and after five minutes Andersen finished a slick move to put Loddon ahead.

Two minutes later Andersen struck again, smashing home and Rose hit the post before Ayre met Summons corner unchallenged to make it three within 13 minutes.

Holt were shell-shocked as the onslaught continued throughout the half. Summons and Rose went close and further efforts where cleared off the line.

It was Loddon who created Holt’s best chance as Parkin’s back pass was wasted by the Holt forward.

Loddon made Holt pay as again Ayre met Summons corner to head home. Before half-time Loddon went five up as Parkin fired home from 18 yards.

The second half continued with Loddon attacking and Rose and Raven went close. Hancock was replaced by Crisp who was involved as Loddon forced yet another corner. Summons’ kick was again met by Ayre who completed his hat-trick.

Knights had two good opportunities to increase Loddon’s lead before Rose rounded the keeper and kept his composure to fire home to make it seven.

Loddon came off the gas in the final quarter and allowed Holt to go close, hitting the post, before scoring a consolation goal five minutes from time.

A much-improved performance against a spirited Holt side who competed throughout. Ayre and Parkin were solid throughout but Musker McIntyre MoM went to Jake Rose who did not stop running and was unselfish throughout. He was a constant thorn in Holt’s defence.
