Bungay Town under 10s made the short journey to Beccles Town and came away winners of a very good competitive tournament featuring seven teams.
Bungay made a very slow start in their first three games and were languishing near the bottom of the group after they had won one, drawn one and lost one match.
After the lunch break and a good rest the boys came out flying and won all three of their remaining games to win the group with 14 points from a maximum 18. In the semi-finals they played Kirkley and Pakefield and came away 2-0 winners.
That set up a final against the hosts Beccles Hornets and with the game at 1-1 at full time it headed into extra time and Bungay got the winner with one minute left. The winning squad was: Owen Roberts, Dylan Smith (captain), Joe Morrisey, Daniel Drage, Logan Harvey, Rhys James, Harry Porter and Kane O’Keefe.A big thank you goes to all the boys and the parents and also to Beccles Town, the event hosts.
