Mick Hudspith and his daughter Harriett (Godric Cycling Club) travelled to Matlock in Derbyshire for the National Hillclimb Championship on Sunday. On Bank Road the hill was 940m long, averaging 14 per cent and hitting 22 per cent in the middle.

On Bank Road the hill was 940m long, averaging 14 per cent and hitting 22 per cent in the middle.
Harriett did a time of 6min 56sec to become the National 13-year old Ladies Junior Hillclimb Champion and finished 139th overall.
Her dad Mick had a good day too as he finished seventh in the Vet 45-50 year age group and 93rd overall in a time of 3:22.8.
