Beccles were slow to start but soon collected themselves and began their campaign, but didn't show the edge they had displayed in their previous two league matches.
Pelicans were unlucky not to score in the first half but hit two goals early in the second half. Beccles then started to dominate the game and play some strong team hockey and the last 15 minutes of the game seemed full of promise.
A disappointing result but a positive experience in building team strength and character, which should assist their future success in Division One.
This week Beccles are away to Denver at RAF Marham.
