Triple win in pool for Neil
HALESWORTH swimmer Neil Howell competed in the Barnet Distance Masters event last week. The competition took place at the Copthall Pools complex in North-West London.
HALESWORTH swimmer Neil Howell competed in the Barnet Distance Masters event last week.
The competition took place at the Copthall Pools complex in North-West London. All races were over distances of 100m or more.
The veteran swimmer had a triple success when he won the 200m and 100m breaststroke events and followed this by being successful in the 100m freestyle in his age group.
The popular meet attracted swimmers from 75 clubs including South Africa, Spain, Ireland and the Netherlands.

One of the features of the meeting was when John Harrison (Godalming) set a new record by becoming the oldest ever competitor in Masters swimming in the United Kingdom. He is 95!
