BUNGAY Town FC held its annual presentation night at the Maltings Meadow Sports Club on Saturday night when awards were handed out to the top players in the eight adult teams the club runs.

The first team finished a disappointing 12th in the Anglian Combination Division One, but there were successes for the Sunday teams, with the first team finishing runners-up in the South Norfolk League and the league Players' Aid Cup, and the Reserves winning their league and finishing runners-up in that league's Players' Aid Cup.

The Ladies' team finished a creditable fifth in their competitive league, with Emily Leech top scorer with 18 goals.

In the Saturday first team Craig Hunting, who has now amassed 345 appearances, again won the Supporters' Player of the Year Award, while Dan Lowe won the manager's nomination and teenager Shaun Whiteman the Players' Player award.

Another teenager, Rob Mattocks, won awards at U18 and A- team level, while Louis Nice took both the Sunday reserves awards.

Ash Ling, with 30 goals in all, retained the Golden Boot award. The evening, attended by over 100 players and their families, included a barbecue.

Sunday Reserves: Manager's Player - Louis Nice; Players' Player - Louis Nice. Veterans: Manager's Player - Steve Urry; Players' Player - Kevin Ellis.

Ladies: Manager's Player - Lauren Mickleburgh; Players' Player - Emily Leech; special award for commitment - Kelly Garrison. Under 18s: Manager's Player - Glen Wright; Players' Player - Rob Mattocks. Golden Boot: Ash Ling (26 goals for Sunday Reserves, four for Saturday first team).
