Three games into the new Pitching In Southern Premier Division Central League campaign and Lowestoft Town FC have made an excellent start.
After picking up four points from two home encounters in the past week, The Blues find themselves in fifth place on goal difference following an unbeaten start to the league campaign.
Lowestoft will be on their travels in the coming days – with a tough derby trip to table-topping Needham Market on Saturday, October 3, 3pm kick off.
Both Suffolk sides have seven points from their three opening league games, and this will be the first of three matches in quick succession this month against the Marketmen.
This is because the 2019-20 Turners Hyundai Suffolk Premier Cup Final will be played over two legs - with both teams keen to play a home and away two-legged final, rather than a one-off tie.

A 0-0 draw against Hednesford last Saturday at Crown Meadow was followed by a fine 1-0 home win against Peterborough Sports on Tuesday night, as Jake Reed’s 88th minute goal sealed the win.
The Trawlerboys also received a boost in midweek with a double coup – as the signings of Connor Parsons on a season long deal, and striker Colin Oppong on a month long loan from Ipswich Town, were confirmed.
Delighted with the additions of the attacking players, Blues boss Jamie Godbold hopes their arrivals will help Lowestoft build on the positive start to the league campaign.
Parsons spent most of pre-season on trial with National League clubs, but he has also trained with the Blues at times during the pre season.
The talented winger, 19, had his professional contract with Norwich City cancelled by mutual consent before joining Norwich United for competitive games before the Coronavirus pandemic ended last season.
Blues boss Jamie Godbold told the club’s website: “It’s great to welcome Connor to our club.
“He has shown ambition throughout the summer to return to the highest possible level and that drive will be much needed for him and us to be as successful as we want to be.
“I am convinced if he can show the work ethic and ability I have seen so far he will be a fans favourite and if the opportunities present themselves to him, we will do what we always do and help them fulfil their ambitions”.
Striker Oppong started in style with a man of the match performance on Tuesday evening.
He had previously featured at Crown Meadow when playing for Ipswich U23 when they visited in a pre-season game, and his arrival will help bolster the attacking options.
Assistant manager Andy Reynolds said: “We were pleased with what Colin contributed Tuesday and it’s important that we now have the ability to rotate nearly all positions to keep people fresh.
“We were aware of Colin when he was on loan last year at Bury Town so when we knew we needed another forward it made sense to ask the question of Ipswich and we are grateful for their support getting this done.
“It’s now up to us and Colin to try and ensure this a successful loan for all involved”.
