Beccles Town Under 18s, sponsored by Broadwater Mouldings, travelled to Plantation Park seeking to avenge a last-minute 2-1 loss to Harford Tornadoes, suffered in their first league meeting of the season.
Beccles started well and their 3-5-2 formation paid dividends on 15 minutes when Cal R raced onto a pass from Elliott. Cal knocked the ball forward and on the half volley struck a dipping shot from 30 yards over the stranded Harford goalkeeper.
Harford were stung into action and replied in the 37th minute when their striker had a simple finish past a stranded Billy in the Beccles goal.
After the break Beccles adopted a more direct approach and it soon paid dividends. Beccles scored two similar goals on 59 and 77 minutes. On both occasions crosses into the box caused panic and James G and then Cal R scored.
Beccles’ next fixture is on Wednesday, at home to Great Yarmouth at 7.45pm.
