G Clow had D Steele (3) caught by G Hall in his second over. Clow and A Aldred bowled well in tandem and pressure mounted on the Brisely batsmen as wickets started to tumble with the introduction of T Jermy. S Bidwell had to retired hurt after taking a quick single, agitating an old injury. Brisley were 95 all out. This was a professional bowling and fielding display by Loddon A who gave nothing away.
With the absence of N Reeve, G Hall opened the batting with A Edmonds but got a harsh lbw decision and went for nought.
A Edmonds and K Johnstone steadily knocked the runs off with help from some erratic bowling.
K Johnstone (6) was unfortunate to hit a full toss straight to cover. R and A Edmonds then set about knocking the rest of the runs off.
Both ran well between the wickets and took advantage of mistakes by the wicket keeper. R Edmonds looked to have his eye in but after a break for drinks he fell for 10, caught and bowled by T Soulby. A Aldred carried on R Edmonds' good running with A Edmonds as they continued to tick the scoreboard over.
A Aldred (7) was undone by the lack of pace in the pitch and also gave a return catch to the bowler. This caused a mini collapse where three Loddon wickets fell in quick succession. A Edmonds was caught for 28, a fine effort in difficult conditions. M Edmonds and G Shipley fell for nought.
T Jermy and debutant L McManus needed 32 off 10 overs. Both batted extremely well and frustrated the Brisley bowlers with their excellent running and finding the boundary. It was left to T Jermy to hit the winning boundary off R Steele with three overs to spare.
Musker McKintyre MoM: Gary Clow 12-6-10-3.
