Talented local pianist, singer-songwriter and musician Ian Sainsbury, will be “tickling the ivories” at Beccles Public Hall tomorrow evening.

Mr Sainsbury will be launching Popup Pianobar at 7.30pm, with doors opening at 7pm.

He said: “After playing in Amsterdam, Bangkok, Geneva, Oslo, Bergen, Dublin, Gothenburg, Berlin, London, Rome and others, I have to say I’m really looking forward to walking to a gig. Beccles Public Hall is a brilliant resource. We’re lucky to have it so I’m really pleased to be performing here and helping raise funds for such a great venue.

“You can expect to hear classic songs from the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Radiohead, Elton John, Coldplay and Oasis plus some standards from the great American Songbook.”

Tickets for the evening cost £5.

Then on Sunday, January 31, the Strictly Theatre Company presents Music of the Night for one night only at the Public Hall.

The cast will take you on a non-stop tour through Broadway, performing songs from some of the world’s most loved musicals. With a strong cast of sixteen singers and dancers, this magic show features hits from Miss Saigon, Phantom of the Opera, Evita and Les Miserables.

Doors will open at 2.30pm for a 3pm start and tickets cost £12.50 for adults and £11.50 for concessions.
