Bungay’s annual open-air Carols at the Castle will take place on Wednesday, December 13, at 7.15pm.

It will be in the courtyard of the Bungay Castle Visitor Centre and will feature nine carols and three readings.

Music will be provided by students from Bungay High School under its head of music, Frances Drew-Batty, and the service will be taken by the Rector of Bungay, the Rev Ian Byrne.

The readings will be by the Town Reeve, the Town Mayor, and the president of the Bungay Events and Business Association.

There will be a collection in aid of the East Anglian Children’s Hospices, and hot drinks and mince pies will be available at Jesters Café after the service.

The open air carols event has been running for more than 25 years, and regularly attracts 70-80 people. Everyone is welcome to join in. It is organised by the Bungay Churches Together initiative.
