The individual and colourful work of Chediston artist John Dawkins will be on display at The Little Gallery in Halesworth from tomorrow.

Mr Dawkins, who went to Southend Art College to study graphic design, is the next guest artist to exhibit.

He had a long career in the design and advertising businesses and moved to Suffolk on retiring where he has found inspiration from the countryside and coast around Southwold. His paintings have a dream-like quality, mainly in acrylics, sometimes oils, along with finished pencil drawings. He has exhibited in the Mall Galleries in London, among others.

Alongside his work, gallery owner Mary Gundry and her photographer partner Colin Huggins will be displaying new work.

The gallery, in Market Place, is open weekdays from 10am to 5pm, 10am to 1pm Thursdays and 10am to 4pm Saturdays.
