The curtain rises next week on the Waveney Light Opera Group’s autumn show Our House.

Tickets have been selling extremely well for the British musical comedy which features the music of 80s pop icons, Madness.

The band hold the record for the most weeks spent by a group in the 1980s singles charts (214), and had 15 singles in the top 10.

Many of those iconic hits, Baggy Trousers, Driving in my Car, My Girl, It must be Love, Night boat to Cairo and of course Our House, feature in the show.

The musical tells the story of Camden lad Joe Casey, who, on his 16th birthday, is forced to make a decision that will change his life forever. The audience follows the two paths that Joe’s life could take and, over a period of seven years, see how good Joe and bad Joe deal with the consequences of that fateful night.

As well as wall to wall Madness hits, Our House has an intriguing plot with comedy and pathos throughout.

The show is on at Beccles Public Hall in Smallgate from Tuesday, October 18 until Saturday, October 22.

All performances start at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available from the Beccles Public Hall box office, open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 3pm, by calling 01502 770060 or online at www.becclespublichall.com
