THERE is a busy week ahead at the Fisher Theatre at Bungay, with song and dance from top shows, an evening with Gilbert and Sullivan, comedy, a feature film and folk music.

This evening The Tigerlilys bring The West End to Broadway to the stage – a brand new musical theatre show in which the team performs songs from many well-loved classics such as Cats, Copacabana and Chicago, and the more recent Wicked and Hairspray. The Tigerlilys are backed by stunning dancers and spectacular costumes. It is at 7.30pm and tickets are �10 (�9 concessions).

Tomorrow The Story of Gilbert and Sullivan is being played out as seen through the eyes of George Grosssmith, the actor who created the comic roles in the Savoy operas. Tim Hurst-Brown is Grosssmith, assisted by Peter Hewitt on the pianoforte, in an evening which gives an insight into both W S Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan and provides the opportunity to meet characters such as the Sergeant of Police, Ko-Ko, the Lord Chancellor, the Major General, Stanley and many others. It is a light hearted evening of stories, songs, poems and music, and a must for all G and S fans. Tickets are �10 (�9 concessions).

On Monday evening the Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds touring party brings The Two of Us to the Fisher. It consists of four comic masterpieces from Michael Frayn, writer of the award-winning farce Noises Off. Originally produced in the West End starring Richard Briers and Lynn Redgrave, the short plays are a display of comic timing for two versatile actors. It is at 7.30pm and tickets are �11.50 (�10 concessions).

On Wednesday the Chloe Hall Trio will be performing at 8pm. From her early days as a teenage troubadour on Australia’s folk circuit Chloe has blossomed into an exciting international artist at the heart of the growing alternative folk movement in her home country. She performs with Chris Mildren on bass and Teal Bain-Roben on percussion. Tickets are �9.

Next Friday Eyes Write in association with Headless Teddy present Meutre, Mystere et Mutilation, a murder mystery play with a difference.

The Thursday film next week is Sex in the City 2 (15), at 7.30pm.

This evening a new art exhibition, featuring the work of young local artist Iona Magnus, opens for a month. It features landscapes and portraits, complex images from a world of imagination and fantasy. The opening with the artist was last night.
