Pupils at Hobart High School in Loddon, are all set to bring a popular musical to the school stage next week.

After weeks of rehearsals the pupils are performing Return to the Forbidden Planet at the school in Kittens Lane from Tuesday to Friday, February 10 to 13.

Actor Tony Scannell, who starred in the popular ITV series The Bill, has also helped with the production.

Mr Scannell, who lives in the Loddon area, recorded a special newscaster role, which will be played out every evening as part of the show.

Return to the Forbidden Planet is an award-winning musical that has featured in London’s West End and gone on a national tour.

It features classic rock and roll songs from the 1950s and 1960s.

Tickets for the show cost £7 or £5 for concessions and are available from the school by telephoning 01508 520359. All the performances will start at 7.30pm.
