Agatha Christie’s classic thriller A Murder Is Announced will be performed buy the Bungay Theatre Group at the Fisher Theatre in Bungay next week.
The villagers of Chipping Cleghorn are agog with curiosity over an advertisement in the local paper which reads: “A murder is announced and will take place on Friday October 13th, at Little Paddocks at 6.30pm.”
A childish practical joke or a hoax?
Unable to resist the mysterious invitation, a crowd begins to gather at Little Paddocks at the appointed time.
Adapted for the stage by Leslie Darbon, the play is full of shuddering suspense with a brilliantly intricate plot where murder lurks around every corner. Exactly what you would expect from Agatha Christie, the queen of crime fiction.
Performances will take place next Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 6, 7 and 8, at 7.30pm.
