WAVENEY Light Opera Group is proud to present Rave On, a tribute to Buddy Holly and the Crickets who will be appearing at Beccles Public Hall tomorrow at 7.30pm.
A venue with special significance for the band as it was where they first met during Spotlight Theatre Group's production of Buddy in 2008.
The show was an amazing success with packed houses dancing in the aisles every night and after the show had ended the three guys, who all shared a love for Buddy's music, decided to form a band that would lovingly recreate the authentic sound of The Crickets and, with stories and anecdotes, tell the short, but eventful story of his life.
The show's final� features the fabulous Raveonettes, a trio of bee-hived beauties, as the band recreate Buddy's last ever concert.
The band have recorded live sessions for BBC radio and performed live on Look East as part of Bernard Hill's fundraising concert for Haiti earlier this year.
