Tickets are on sale now for the fabulous re-formed group, Mike Hurst and the Springfields, performing at Beccles Public Hall next Saturday, May 30, at 7.30pm.
The new group includes one of the original Springfields, Mike Hurst, who was one third of the vocal group alongside Dusty and Tom Springfield. Mike will be performing alongside new band members Alice Pitt-Carter and Andy Marlow.
The Springfields were the first British vocal group to have a Top 20 American chart hit in 1962, and the top group in the UK in 1961, 1962 and 1963, voted for by the NME readers. Their final performance in October 1963 was at The London Palladium before an estimated TV audience of 20 million.
After a brief spell with his own band, Mike became one of the most successful British independent record producers of the 20th Century.
