There is another great eight days of entertainment ahead at the Fisher Theatre at Bungay, from music to the bawdy Canterbury Tales to live streaming of Shakespeare to classic Beatles.

This evening there is a good mix of music and song as Town Reeve Terry Reeve stages his final appeal concert, raising funds to establish the new youth choir Cantaria.

The choir conducted by Jason Collins will feature prominently in the programme which will also see the novelty of the 34-strong Somerleytoin Ukulele Strummers.

Topping the bill will be young folk-soul singer songwriter Saskia Griffiths-Moore, who is already big in her native Gloucestershire, and who will be making her East Anglia debut. There are still a few £10 tickets left for the event which starts at 7.30pm.

On Sunday, Blast form the Past, the acclaimed historical theatre company, will be presenting Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales billed as furious, funny and occasionally filthy. It is not suitable for those under 11. Tickets are £9-£11.

Tuesday sees an encore from the Met – a new staging of Verdi’s masterpiece Otello conducted by Yannick Nezet-Seguin and directed by Bartlett Sher. Alexandrs Antonenko sings his first Met performance of the tormented Moor of Venice with Sonya Yoncheva in her debut as his wife. Tickets are £12.

On Wednesday, the Royal Shakespeare Company Live brings Henry V live to Bungay from Stratford-upon-Avon. It comes during the 600th anniversary week of the Battle of Agincourt, with Alex Hassell in the title role. It starts at 7pm with tickets £12 and theatre-goers should note that it lasts about three hours and 30 minutes.

Beatlemania next Friday evening superbly recreates the legendary live performances of the Bestkles, from their early days, through the Sgt Pepper era to the final years of Abbey Road. It is at 8pm and tickets are £15.
