Rising folk and soul singer Saskia Griffiths-Moore will be making her East Anglian debut at the Fisher Theatre at Bungay next month.
Bungay Town Reeve Terry Reeve has recruited her to sing at his final appeal concert at the venue on Friday, October 16, after meeting her at the Sidmouth Folk Festival in Devon in August.
He said: “She has the most beautiful, clear voice, and writes a lot of her own songs.
“I am sure all lovers of folk and soul – and there is a hint of country too – or those who loves music in general, will be impressed with her.
“I’m sure she has a big national future in front of her, and I’m delighted she has agreed to travel from Gloucestershire to Bungay to complete my concert line-up.”

Saskia has become sought after throughout the south-west and tours the folk and acoustic scene year round.
At the Fisher Theatre, she will be joined by Cantaria, the new Bungay youth choir which Mr Reeve’s appeal is supporting, and the Somerleyton Ukulele Strummers.
“Together they provide a wide range of music and song and I do hope people will feel able to support the concert to help get Cantaria estsblished,” Mr Reeve said.
