AWARD-winning singer-songwriter Hazel O'Connor is making her eagerly-awaited appearance at Bungay's Fisher Theatre on Wednesday evening.She is teaming up with legendary performers, saxophonist Clare Hirst (of Bellstars, Cummunards and Dave Bowie) and pianist and vocalist Sarah Fisher (Eurythmics and Sax in the City).

AWARD-winning singer-songwriter Hazel O'Connor is making her eagerly-awaited appearance at Bungay's Fisher Theatre on Wednesday evening.

She is teaming up with legendary performers, saxophonist Clare Hirst (of Bellstars, Cummunards and Dave Bowie) and pianist and vocalist Sarah Fisher (Eurythmics and Sax in the City).

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the film Breaking Glass life on stage, the three will perform a mixture of O'Connor originals alongside timeless classics. Tickets are �16.

Earlier on Wednesday, at 1.15pm, there will be the first of a monthly series of lunch-time concerts, this one featuring cellist Rebecca Walker, who will be accompanied by pianist Michael Salmon. Her programme will include work by Mendelssohn and Rachmaninoff, as well as her own compositions. Tickets are �6.

Some of England's best loved poems will be featured at the Fisher Theatre tomorrow evening, read by accomplished narrator and actress Rohan McCullough.

She makes a return visit to the theatre by popular demand, to read poems by Rudyard Kipling, John Betjeman and Joyce Grenfell. She will be accompanied by Emmy Award-winning playwright Hugh Whitemore, who will offer anecdotes and stories from his life, from British television to Hollywood screen. Tickets are �8 (�7 concessions) and the show is at 7.30pm.

This evening at the theatre The Hamsters are in concert, at 7.30pm. The guitar, bass and drums duo are long established as one of the country's top live attractions, having performed over 4000 concerts in 24 years. They will be offering their own brand of rock, blues and Americana, and are also widely regarded as the UK's leading interpreters of the music of Jimmy Hendrix and ZZ Top. Tickets are �14.

The Bumpstead Boys, with Ruby and her Horses, are back at the theatre on Tuesday evening, presented by the Waveney Valley and District Preservation Society. It is a true-life narrative about Ruby's love of horses, set against the background of the hardship of the agricultural depression of the 1920s and1930s. It includes accordion music, and photographs taken by Ruby. It is at 7.30pm and tickets are �5.

The Thursday film next week, at 7.30pm, is Julia and Julia (12A).
