Rising Stars will perform It's a Celebration at Beccles Public Hall next Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm.
Rising Stars was formed as the youth branch of Waveney Light Opera Group for young people interested in singing, acting and dancing, as well as helping backstage and on the technical team.
A seasoned performer herself, Rising Stars stage director Helen Steed said she was pleased with the high standards of the performers.
“With so many talented young people wanting to take part in the first show, it was difficult to choose a musical that would show off all their abilities,” she said. “The solution was to compile our own show. It's a Celebration takes pieces from Broadway, films, and the charts, as well as some old classics and energises them with a new generation of enthusiastic performers.
“The energetic cast of eight to 20 year olds sing, act and dance their hearts out to deliver a fantastic show featuring all ends of the musical spectrum.”
Tickets are priced at �8 for adults and �6.50 for children, and are available from Saxon in New Market, Beccles, or by calling 01502 717417.
