Get December off to a festive start at the Fisher Theatre in Bungay with an 80s Christmas Carol by the Fisher Youth Theatre Group.

Adapted from the original Charles Dickens story, the show is full of festive songs from the 80s and fantastic show numbers with dance and song.

At ‘Scrooge You and Marley Essentials’ it’s Christmas Eve and Elloueeza Scrooge keeps her clerk Bob Cratchit late into the night doing the books. Her tough, cold business ways are moulded on her heroine, Maggie Thatcher, and her kind nephew Fred cannot melt her heart whatever he says.

That night Ellouezza is visited by her now dead partner, Jacqui Marley, who offers her a way to rescue her life from the torment and pain that she is now living through in hell. The first ghost of Christmas past is an air raid policeman from the Second World War, the next ghost of Christmas present is from the 80s and comes in the shape of Bob Geldoff, and finally from the future comes The Terminator, a frightening 90s vision of a future where machines take over the world.

The production will be staged on Thursday, December 1, Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3 at 7.30pm, with a matinee showing on the Saturday at 2pm.

Tickets are £8 or £6 for concessions. There will be a raffle with hampers to be won too.

Tickets are available from the box office open 10am to 3pm, by calling 01986 897130 or online at www.fishertheatre.org.
