The entertainment kicks off at The Fisher Theatre in Bungay this week with a circus workshop, ballet screening and a visit from an 80s pop star.

The pioneering literary work of Virginia Woolf is the inspiration for multi-award-winning choreographer Wayne McGregor’s Woolf Works.

This ballet is an encored production screened at the Fisher Theatre on Sunday afternoon from the Royal Ballet. Tickets are £12.

On Thursday, February 16, The River Waveney Trust presents a talk by Tony Brown. The theme is Breydon Water – a celebration of the life and times of the legendary Arthur Patterson. The talk is open to all, tickets are £6 and £4 for Trust members.

The week of entertainment at the Fisher ends on Friday, February 17, with Mark Nevin, who came to prominence in the late 1980s as the founding member, guitarist and songwriter of Fairground Attraction, taking to the stage. The band was famed for its hits such as Perfect. Tickets are £15 and £12 for concessions.

Half-term entertainment for youngsters at the theatre, starts on Monday, February 13, with an afternoon screening of The Jungle Book. All tickets are £5.

All the thrills and spills of the big top return to the Fisher with The Foolhardy Circus, on Thursday, February 16.

The company will run a morning workshop for children aged from six years upwards.

They will be playing with traditional circus props, including juggling, diablo, tightrope, devil sick, unicycle, balance poles, peddle goes, fun wheels and plate spinning, in a relaxed semi-formal workshop structure.

The Foolhardy Circus troupe returns in the afternoon with its new exciting show Smile. There will be lashings of sumptuous comedy, a sheer meringue of circus skills and a creamy dollop of acrobatics combined to leave everyone smiling.

Tickets for the workshop are £4, while tickets for the show are £6.

• Please note that an 80s gambling night planned for Saturday evening has been postponed until the summer.
