BECCLES Choral Society is holding an open evening on Tuesday at 7.30pm in the town's Public Hall

If you would like to join in, the society will be singing some well known pieces, and beginning to rehearse for its April concert.

The group is fortunate to have a talented and experienced conductor in Philip Simms.

The last concert, Deck the Hall, was held in Beccles Public Hall, on December 13, and a packed hall of people had a jolly afternoon.

The choir enjoys rehearsing and performing. It meets on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm. The next concert is April 17 and will include Dvoraks Mass in D major.

New members are welcomed. If you attend the open evening and think you might like to join, you may attend another two rehearsals before committing yourself. Fees for the next term, including the concert, are £35, except for those in full time education, for whom membership is free.

Telephone the secretary, Stella Murgatroyd on 01493 780856.
