David Tennant on the big screen in Beccles
Beccles Public Hall will be screening Shakespeare’s Richard II with David Tennant on Sunday, September 27.
Richard II is King. A monarch ordained by God to lead his people. But he is also a man of very human weakness. A man whose vanity threatens to divide the great houses of England and drag his people into a dynastic and bloody civil war.
Royal Shakespeare Company artistic director Gregory Doran directs Tennant in the title role, joined by Oliver Ford Davies as the Duke of York, Michael Pennington as John of Gaunt and Nigel Lindsay as Bolingbroke.
Doors open at 2.30pm for the show to start at 3pm.
The screening is 12A and is 2 hours and 42 minutes long with an interval.
Tickets, which cost £5, can be booked at www.becclespublichall.com or from the box office, open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 3pm, or by calling 01502 770060.
