The organisers of this year's Heveningham Hall Country Fair with Halesworth Lions' Wings and Wheels, which takes place this Saturday and Sunday, have announced even more attractions and exhibitors for what promises to be an action-packed weekend.

The historic country estate near Halesworth in north Suffolk will welcome visitors from near and far.

As well as highlights already announced, such as The Devils’ Horsemen – who will be performing Cossack trick riding and chariot racing – the Aerostars, Europe’s largest formation aerobatic display team, and The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s Hurricane and Spitfire which will both be flying over the Hall on both days (weather permitting), the organisers can now confirm the following events and exhibitors:

Melford Green Aplacas, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth poultry exhibition, High Lodge clay pigeon shoot, Eagle Heights Falconry, Suffolk Punches, dog show, ferrets and bungee trampoline.

The fair also plays host to a wide range of food and drink producers, providing great local treats for visitors to enjoy or take home.

Exhibitors this year include: Hillfield Nursery, St Peter’s Brewery, Woodbridge Confectionary Co., Jilly’s Jackets, Hillarm Oils and the hall’sown barbecue.

For those wishing to indulge in some shopping, the fair also plays host to a wide range of local arts and crafts from local suppliers including Seathrift, Driftwood Sculptures, Barkers of Suffolk, Foliar and DiDi Jewellery, to name but a few.

Commenting on the event, chairwoman and charity trustee Anne Clark, said: “With all proceeds from the fair going to local charities we are really looking forward to welcoming as many people as possible over the two-day event so come down and join in the fun!”

The fair also plays host to the Heveningham Hall 10km Run on Sunday plus the Little Heveningham Hall Run, a 1.7 km open grass field run for the under 15s which specifically raise monies for “Get Kids Going”, a fantastic national charity providing disabled children and young people the opportunity of participating in sport.

The charity provides specially built sports’ wheelchairs so young people can do a huge range of sports.

Entries are now open for both runs and applications are available online at: www.runheveningham.co.uk

Last year saw around 100 vintage and modern airplanes flying in over the two days from all over Europe and at one point on the Sunday morning the airfield was busier than London Heathrow.

This year the organisers expect up to 160, with one confirmed airplane coming all the way from Australia. Any pilots who can land on a 530m grass airstrip are welcome.

Further information can be found on the website: www.countryfair.co.uk

Tickets prices on the Gate: family (2 adults + 3 children) - £30; adult - £10; children (5 to 14) - £5; concessions (over 60 and disabled) - £8. Under 5s, dogs and parking free on both days.
