Learn archaeological tips in Beccles

A TALK about how archaeological techniques can tell us about the past will be held at the Friends' Meeting House in Beccles on Monday.

The two-hour, illustrated talk will examine a number of key sites and objects, look at methods of investigation, and examine questions of interpretation.

The two-hour, illustrated talk will examine a number of key sites and objects, look at methods of investigation, and examine questions of interpretation.

Themes will include how new ideas were spread, the sources of raw materials, trade links, and what archaeology can tell us about everyday life in the past.

Dr Caroline Earwood, an archaeologist with more than 20 years experience, will be giving the talk.

There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion, and no prior knowledge is required.

An outline of the forthcoming six session course Understanding the Past through Archaeological Investigation will also be provided, and there will be the chance to register.
